What is Wings, Sun and Sky? It's my first album. Ever. The project was started in the middle of 2009. The album cover was taken from two photos. A clear sky and myself facing opposite from the camera. I was so shy to ask someone to take a picture of me lol. So it was quite hard to use self-timer on my old Nokia 5700. After few takes, I got the best. Then I went to my laptop and combine the photos and make it all blue. To make it interesting, I put wings on my back.
I was confused. What should I name it? So there came a quick idea. Wings, Sun and Sky. I don't know the meaning actually. It's like, random.
Moving to the next one. I'll tell you some short stories from the tracks on it.
- Resistance
First time I showed into my friends, they said,"Hey the title is like Muse's!". I didn't know that. I even never listened to Muse before. I just ignored it and kept the title.
I thought playing with sampling was worth to try. It was how this song born. I took samples from Simcity: Societies, Counter Strike: Source and Technical Difficulties by Julien-K. - Reflection
How come I named this song Reflection? I wanted to make a song which the structure is like a mirror. My best friend Opank loves the string in the middle of it!
I think this is the main characteristic of my most songs. It has C, D and E key. - Forgiven
The title was a random. I got inspired by background music on Trans TV when it shows a reunion schedule. I asked everywhere but no one knew the song. So I decided to make it "my version". It is slightly different from the actual songs. - Sephorate
My first song ever. I even separated it into two projects, because I didn't know how to change tempo in one song. I still didn't know how drum sampler works. I still didn't know that Playlist Mode on FL Studio is for making a song. I was using Pattern Mode. Such a noob. - Rise from The Sadness
This was done in the end of 2009. This song was in Geng Fruity Loops Compilation Volume 1. It was a bit rush, because when the deadline was close, I hadn't done the outro yet. - The Wasted
I consider this is my favorite from the album. It was "abandoned" for few months. Then I got an inspiration to continue it again after something happened on September 3rd 2010. This is the only song that has vocal on it, and the first non-instrumental song I ever made. The scream is actually just a whisper. I didn't really scream. - Sweet Candy On Monday
This is an instrumental remix of Sweet Child o Mine. I named it Sweet Candy on Monday because it has the same initial, SCOM. I made it higher tempo from the original. And this is my first Drum n Bass song. - Hexagon
This song, for me, does fit to be the closing. At that time I thought the number of the songs in the album would be six. That's where the title comes from. This was done in December 2009, just few days before I got into the hospital because of dengue fever.
Overall, this album lacks of Bass. I didn't know that bass guitar plays an important role in a song. The only song that has it is The Wasted and Reflection.
